Massive props to the folks at GOG.com - seriously, what a cool layout/website. I really thought the "game collection shelf" idea after you buy something was slick. Right now I only have Fallout 2 and tactics in there but if my wallet lets me, I'll probably have more soon 😀
 
I like the concept. I think if you're willing to buy bundles though, you can get many of those games for less with the Steam compilation packs or from Amazon, Newegg, GoGamer etc. Like the individual Unreal games they have -- you could get Unreal Anthology instead for only $10, which has all of those games, plus an additional soundtrack CD. Same with the Fallout Collection, the Citizen Kabuto + Evolva bundle that GoGamer sells, etc.

There are some games on there though that I haven't seen being sold anywhere else.
 
Dunno if you even looked at the prices, but you can get most of the games on GOG for less than the price of most meals. When they first opened I got a game for free.

Me too! I had DK2 for about a month before my old Win 98 machine bit the dust, and I haven't been able to get it to run on three different XP and one Vista machine since.
 
I'm feeling the urge to replay Fallout Tactics, which was fun even if not a "real" Fallout. A version that's patched and "just works" for under $10 sounds perfect.
 
Yeah Dave, I had the same urge. I owned it on disc but a convenient download version was worth it too, since I got it free as a promo. Might not be considered "canon" fallout but I still love that game, tons of options.

Arx Fatalis is the only thing that really interests me in their game catalogue, but I already have it on Steam. I might try Die by the Sword on GOG.
 
I would buy Freespace 2 and play it if I didn't already have it (still ahve the cds). Awesome game. Highly reccomended even today.

I might buy Castles 2 for nostalgia. Have fond memories of that game though it is probably really dated at this point.

Edit: Haha they have Giants: Citizens Kabuto! Awesome!

That's a relative term you know. I just re-built a computer for a friend(added video card, reinstalled OS + games). P4 2.26 with an ATI Radeon 1650xt pro. He paid $75 for the pC and the card was $40. He doesn't have any money. It was an expensive computer.
