i met this great girl while in china!
now, i really want her to see what usa is like. if she can cope with usa life, leave everything in china, we'll get married!
any suggestions on how to get her here?
so far, i see a k1 visa is best.
anyone dealt with applying for visas on the web?

She luv you long time? Or she luv you now and ditch you for Mr. Lexington Steele when she gets here?

You can get here here through a fiance visa, if you're a citizen. It's straightforward, but you should try and cement the relationship before setting her free in liberal, promiscuous America.

shes 23, im 26.

so now she has to apply for the fiancee visa in china?
i dont need to do anything.

its possible she'll ditch me. but isnt love worth risking everything?

thanks for your inputs.

You have to get engaged first; meaning you intend to marry within 90 days of her arrival in the US. The whole process will take 9 months or more.

Start with filing an i-129f here in the United States and wait for that to go through (takes a few months depending on where you live in the states). After that gets approved it goes through brief processing at the National Center and then is passed onto Guangzhou where after 6 months of application swapping and waiting for an interview, your fiancee gets an interview where the authenticity of your relationship is reviewed and then she is granted a visa two days later.

It's a straightforward process; but filled with paperwork, application fees and a brutal wait.

expect to wait a while. I married an American (im from the UK) and we were living in the UK at the time of my visa application (and already married). It took 6 months to complete all the paperwork, get the medicals done etc etc and its not cheap either. We did it all on our own though, im not sure if lawyers or other companies really speed up the process or not.

When we got married my wife wanted to move to the UK, she applied for the visa and it took... 2 days! We went to NYC, had an interview, showed the paperwork we needed and BAM, done. Ive no idea why the US visa system is so slow compared to the UK.

This is a scam, probably. I have a friend who had a "girlfriend" in China just like that. He stopped sending her money a few months ago.

tell you the truth i sometimes american women take us for granted. If i met a girl like that and was in love i would jump on it.
