First one looks like a Scion xB, second one is a Toyota Yaris knockoff, third one I'm not sure.

Edit: thanks for correcting me... I knew I had seen that thing before... thought that was what the element looked like.

Dude seriously that's no excuse. Anyone who drives on the road sees these cars every day.

I appears they're copying Toyota and Scion (also Toyota). You've never seen those big boxy things driving around? Looks like a cardboard box on a skateboard?

First one is a Scion xB. Second is the Scion xA. Don't know the third

I don't know about that, I think the first one is a Scion xB knockoff.

Well, Scion stopped making the distinctive looking box so it's their loss.

The Chinese are all about knockoffs anyway. They let others do the engineering then they copy it. Some would say lazy, others would say shrewd. :p

50% of everything that comes out of china is counterfeit. Literally. It's an actual statistic.

What's interesting is they're doing this even though Toyota has a manufacturing and sales base in China already. I could see this happening if Toyota wasn't there, but they are. The legal department is probably going to be quite busy soon.

And for a little piece of trivia, the guy that started Toyota was actually Chinese. He wasn't Japanese.

auto design is not the only thing they copy in china. there was a piece of article I read on wsj. some fake firms in china actually stolen other firm brand and design new produucts using their brand. it was scary. the real firm found out about this when their customers started sending back the bad products to them.

One of the major brands was NEC.

I grew up with brands like Adibas, Pima, Reabok and Filo, so I can't say I'm surprised...
