I got the microcenter preorder too. I would be down with a league. Although I hope it doesn't move too quickly. I tried an online dynasty with ncaa football last year but got kicked for not keeping up. Just can't always do a game every day or two. If the rules were set to two games a week or something that would probably work for me.

Yes still need the disc, but once the game starts it doesn't spin.
 
Ok, I have yet to install a game do to the very limited space on the drive. With a couple of map packs, some rock band songs, and a demo or two, you just don't have much space left over. I should try it out just to not here that loud drive spinning.
 
Well I have to say, I haven't played one except the demos since like 2002 on PC. I'm going to go get this after trying the 5 minute quarter demo. Alot seems improved, most noticeably the pace of the game.
 
I'll be getting it. I've bought every Madden since 99, the first use they had the juke move. That move is what sold me on the game (and you best believe I will use it on your ass 😛). I am def. down for a league too. I'm claiming the Cowboys right now though!

Too bad EA got the exclusive rights to the NFL, and too bad they also managed to be the only one left standing in the college basketball genre (another of my favorites). 2K always had great titles in those areas and the College Hoops series was leaps and bounds ahead of March Madness.

It is kind of ironic that one of the reasons I decided to get a console was because there were more sports games available than on the PC, but the consoles are rapidly losing that as well. It seems like the NBA and NHL are the only 2 remaining genres with competition on the consoles. Kind of sad.

I'm not sure if I would be up for a league or not. Madden always seems to bring out my temper. 😀 NCAA 09 managed to bring out my worst last year, when I was playing in an online dynasty. I am good at these games, but I imagine not good enough.

I sure hope they improved their representation of Lucas Oil Stadium this year. It was pretty bad last year.

Are we all going to be calling teams in this thread or have a dedicated league thread? I guess it also matters which platform everybody is playing on. 360 here.
 
Man, I'm weak. I was set to not buy the game this year but whatever, it looks pretty good. Just ordered the Amazon release-date delivery.

If there's a genuine league here, I'm good for the Jets. If it's anything like last year's pathetic attempt, then I'm out.

If it makes you feel better, I *stink*. I tend to work with only a few key plays from each formation, which makes me very easy to read.

Just picked it up this morning at Wal-mart. They had a huge basket full of free giveaways to choose from.

Can't wait to fire it up in a little bit.
 
Digging the game for the most part, but there are some bugs and such that are really taking away from the game.

-I've noticed a few times where the announcers both start to talk at the same time, so for a while you hear both guys saying something over each other. Really annoying and something that shouldn't be there.

-For some reason there are players sometimes playing the wrong position. I had Eddie Royal on defense for one play some reason, and Wes Welker was also seen on defense. I didn't check to see if they were always out there, I just noticed it the few times I switched to them.

-The faces look terrible. Seriously... whenever they're showing a clip of a player w/out the helmet on it looks disgusting. I don't know if there's missing textures or what but this is several steps backwards IMO.
