I wouldn't mind to play sometime. I completely suck ass, but it'd be fun to play against someone I know wouldn't cheat.

Well there is some way for a player to manipulate the connection during the game & cause massive lag at will. For instance, I am beating another scrub last night and he starts driving in the second half only to throw a pick to my Linebacker. Next thing i know there is lag like crazy. I mean it took me 10 minutes to run 3 plays. Then he gets the ball back & the lag goes away for his possession. The whole time he is talking trash about how he will keep lagging the game & stuff....and everytime I had the ball in the second half there was stupid amounts of lag.

Also, there is something called syncing where they basically disconnect the game causing a sync error that counts as a loss for you, and it can be done at any time. The sad thing is I can deal with cheesers and glitchers & stuff, but when someone can manipulate the game like in these cases it leaves the other person absolutely no chance to win. Funny thing is I broke off a 45yd run during one of my lag drives though...lol

Either way I am done with Madden 2006.

I'm guessing this game has stats..

I'd love to slap any game developer that puts stats in to an online game. It attracts the cheaters like mosquitos to Rosie O'donnel. One big example: Halo 2. Cheaters just love to see that number rise..it's just stupid of devs to implement anything like it.

I know how you feel, so many lame asses in online football games last year it was very sad. Like someone would run with the quarterback everytime, in at least every other game you played, which used to be unstopabble.

I've been very impressed with Madden 2k6 online so far though, you might wanna give the PS2 version a try. I thought it would be the same ole' crap all over again, but everyone plays fair and it's not easy to cheat via PS2 online. Played about 30 games of online madden 2k6, all but a couple of games were totally sim football games, people play how they should, I can't believe it. Get a lot of quitters still, but that's to be expected. I've been having a great time playing, even though i lose most of the time, at least people play real football on there.

I agree that it's also stupid to have stats in most online games. No one will play unranked games either, it's pretty funny.

Also with the PS2 version (maybe they have this on PC as well) they have a feature called "fair play" when you make a game online, which forces people to play sim football, and not be able to go for it on 4th down everytime.

Yeah my problem is not with cheesers, it's with people creating problems in the network & ruining the game through either massive lag or disconnecting me somehow (Syncing).

PC version is terrible.

i get synced up all the time... i was ranked near the top when it first came out and i thoroughly checked who was off to a clean start (100% games completed)

now i play every once in a while (an online game or two every few days) cuz im at uni and need it to keep my sanity... but so many annoying POS's ruin it

its hella annoying

so get of EASO which blows chunks and join a real online league. No GOOD players would ever find themselves on EASO
