Woohoo! Too bad nobody has it locally... They are saying it shipped today, and they'll have it in the morning.

Unfortunately, the PS2 network adapter won't be out until 8/27.

(Wingz is looking forward to taking the Lions to the Super Bowl online on his PS2!!! )

Awesome can't wait, hoped they fixed some of the cheese on online play. One of my friend insists that on 2003 that all the consoles; PC, PS2, XBOX will be able to play together, which seems really far fetch, any truth to that?

Is 2003 for the PC going to be just like 2002 for the PS2? I swear, 2002 for the PC was just like 2001 for the PS2, cept with some online play.. :disgust:

Damn, I'm reading the EA Sports Online play info for the PC.. you have to pay to play online with basically the same setup as with 2002? I know they add like 2-3 features.. but damn, that sucks.

Can I still match up online the old way?
Most of our products will continue to provide direct IP connection capabilities, as well as LAN play. However EASO is the only way to find another player online in participating EA SPORTS PC games.

You have to pay if your using the PC version of the game and want their EA Sports Online network thing.. What it seems to me is basically, you can play online with other players by their IP.. but to get into something where you can find players, it's through their network..? I'm lost here..

Yeah, that seems to be the gist of it.

You can play IP-IP with your friends. But to log on and use the EA servers (chat, rankings, etc...), you'll need to shell out a monthy fee.

That's all for the PC version. I haven't heard anything about how the PS2 online will work.

That sucks.. Maybe I'll just use 2002 for the PC and buy 2003 for the PS2 I have, if there isn't a monthly fee for the PS2 version that is.

I knew it had online play when it was with the Dreamcast.. just wasn't sure about PS2.
