I think it was expensive too...we'll see what happens. Btw I live in Cincinnati....not a Cardinals fan in the least (nor a Bengals, ugh).
 
God this is a buggy piece of shit. My favorite so far is that nearly no kick "looks" like it goes through the uprights. They all look like they go too short. Even better, kicking from ranges where a given kicker "Usually" can make it, with 99% power and dead on accuracy... nope. Short.

Commentary bugs - why are the announcers referring to the "Defense making the completion for a first down"? There's a ton of similar issues.

Menus stutter and hang often.

I installed to the HDD and things seem better, but still run into points where it will just run an animation for ~30 seconds before letting me do anything.

What else I got... let's see... oh yeah, players walking through blocks like they're not even there. Way too long of a throwing motion on most QBs. The ball being thrown well out of bounds on sideline/out routes even before the receiver makes his cut.

The eyes!!! Oh my god the eyes... looks like I'm playing with a team full of zombies.

And Rex Ryan looks FAR more palatable in the game than he does in real life.

It's really a fucking joke, isn't it? A game that is this popular, that makes this much money, should have the funds available to make sure it's not buggy as hell. It's a travesty and just fucking pisses me off. I know this horse has been beaten to death, raised as a zombie and fucking killed again, but the NFLPA giving exclusive to Madden was the worst thing that could happen to consumers that play football video games.
 
I was playing a game at my brother's house and I went back for a pass and the game hung for several long seconds. First time I've seen that happen.

I don't recall ever seeing a Madden this buggy. Ever. You'd think that with the minor updates every year, things like commentary and AI bugs (like throwing the ball way out of bounds) would be something eliminated YEARS ago.

Well they really didn't "give it to Madden"... the exclusivity contract was placed up for bid and EA won (surprise!) thus putting the nail in the coffin. As much as I hate EA, I don't blame them one bit for buying up the rights. And, in reality, WTF do they care if the game sucks or not. They sill still make millions off it and if they piss off a few people along the way, they still make millions. Don't forget, there's actually still prime-time Madden specials on sports channels too!

Long story short, I miss you dearly 2K 🙁
 
Hey Indy, I don't know if you figured this out or not, but if you pull on the Right Trigger when you are in the kicking formation, it goes to the classic view. I know you were talking about that a while back.

Thanks, I'll have to remember that and try it out. I turned off the computer auto-sprint and I'm used to using RT for sprinting now.
 
Yeah, I made sure to turn it off. I was playing a game and just happened to look down on a field goal attempt and saw that it said PRESS RT FOR CLASSIC VIEW. It does seem to help.
 
Correct me if I am wrong here, but the overtime rules are if the coin-flip winning team goes down and kicks a FG, then the other team gets 1 possession correct?

Well I think Madden 12 F's that up. My son just played to a regulation tie. Carolina won the toss, marched down, kicked a FG and game over.

Er...you're thinking of college OT rules, or post season NFL rules.

NFL is the first team to score, wins. Sudden death. Except for post season (playoffs):

In a regular season NFL overtime game, the first team that scores wins, even if the other team does not get a possession; this is referred to as sudden death. However, in a post-season NFL game during the playoffs, if the first team with possession scores only a field goal, the other team is allowed the opportunity to match or better this score. This rule only affects playoff games in overtime in which the first team with possession scores a field goal: if the first team with possession scores a touchdown, the sudden death rules take effect

Ah yes. Post season.

I will add this then though, when it DID go to OT, Collinsworth and whats his face had a little "discussion" about the new OT rules "this year".

So their discussion was wrong twice: A) it did not pertain the to current game B) it is not new this year.
