Has anyone used or purchased one of these.. my other one went bad and i figured for 15 bux i could try it out.
Im only using these with headphones (tritton ax 180)

But sometimes i get alittle too critical of small imperfections in item's i buy.

but i do feel these are not that great of cables.

things look alittle blurry. when used with the 360
ive used them with the wii, the games dont look spectacular to begin with, but now they look much worse.
dont need to use with PS3...allows me too choose HDMI for video and sound analog

I did try the search function, this probaly can be perceived as a rant, it just might be.
Can anyone chime in with there thoughts or comments.

I don't buy Mad Catz. Period. I generally don't buy third party at all, but *especially* not Mad Catz.

well i bought them as a last minute to check if my ports were bad on my tv..guess not 🙂

there were no other's that were universal...how is intec?

This. I've never had a good experience with third party stuff, especially cables.*

*Except HDMI cables, because the GOLD PLATED MONSTER CABLES FOR ONLY $100!!! are such an obvious rip-off.

im gonna see how it looks with my standard wii cables and then try the component again. see where that takes me. if it looks grungy then ill probaly have to exchange them

Monoprice has some universal component cables as well. Not sure if they're any better than the MadCatz ones, but knowing Monoprice, they're not that expensive. Might be worth a try.

The Wii component cables from Monoprice are crap. They let in a ton of interference (little fuzzy lines going across the screen constantly), and they even cut out the video when I turned on electronic devices on a different outlet than my Wii! I got the official Nintendo component cables, and they worked like a charm without a single issue.

I've never had a problem with the Monoprice Xbox 360 component cables. It does appear, however, that the universal component cables (PS2/PS3/Wii/Xbox360) don't output to HD for the 360, so I'd stay away from those.

I agree that madcatz makes mostly crap, but I've been using the same madcatz universal component cables that I had on my PS2 for my PS3 and it looks perfect on my 42" HDTV. I have been using it for over 4 years, so it was well worth the $15. They're just cables, they don't have as many parts to malfunction like their shitty controllers.

If they are not shielded properly, it can cause problems with electro-magnetic interference. Many third party companies make the cables up to spec but with the least (and cheapest) amount of EMI shielding required.

I don't know if its a madcatz but I have a universal component cable that works with the ps3, 360 and wii and it looks awesome.

Mine are great. Maybe you got a bad pair. They will exchange them for free.

I have yet to have an issue with Monoprice.
