I wasn't going to download the Crysis patch because of my FAP on satellite.
I did anyway and now it won't run. It keeps telling me to insert the CD and the CD is in. I've tried both drives and I am not running Daemon Tools. Google search says to re-install the game.
Anyone know a work around or know what the path to the saved games is?

EDIT

I fixed it.
Start - Control Panel - Programs and Features - Crysis - Uninstall
Fvck this POS.

If you have the dx9 very high config files replace them with the original ones from the CD. I had the same problem and that worked for me.

You need to restore your Crysis installation to the exact default, meaning you have to restore the intro videos if you erased them or put them in a different folder, you have to restore your cvargroup config files (including the mod to have very high on XP) and if you have mods that mess with the game files, you have to restore them too.

In the end I had to reinstall the whole game personally but it wasn't such a big deal, the game now has mods support so that won't be a problem and it's just a matter of making a back up of the CFG files if you edit them for Very High or the intro videos if you delete them for faster bootup.

I had the same problem...some digging on Google (and I do mean some digging!) I found out you cannot be running Process Explorer (I had the same problem with BF2142). When I stopped Process Explorer I was able to launch Crysis.

Stupid asshole-DRM software, amirite?

I think viperbri is on the right path, that same thing helped me run Crysis, in the past.

I still haven't bought the game. I played the MP & SP demos, but I'm going to wait till version 1.9 when I have a nvidia 10900GTX and a 4.5GHz 8-core Intel CPU and the game is $5.

And then it won't be too impressive graphically and Crysis 2 will be out and you'll struggle to get 20fps on high with your setup and you'll want to run that and wish you had a GeForce 11900.

I don't get people who want for better hardware to play Crysis in all it's glory, by that time you won't be as impressed with the game, some people did the same with Far Cry and then Doom 3 and HL2 came out and Far Cry was just good (not jaw dropping) and people missed out on the incredible experience playing Far Cry when it was first out was.

Go play Crysis now before it's graphics become average, the gameplay is amazing but the graphics provide an extra level of amusement.

Yeah I love Crysis, and I can't wait till I have hardware that can run it at full unlocked settings. In the mean time medium doesn't look bad at all, better than most other shooters.

yeah i have issues with crysis detecting my dvd. i'd give up after a little, then come back later. FINALLY got that mofo to patch
