I forgot about the finals.
The NBA is really suffering from lack of interest this year. Previous years have had so much more fan interest. At least thats what I hear on the radio.

why is it that the nba does proper home floor for the previous rounds, where 1,2,5,7 are on the home floor advantage side, but for the finals they switch to the 'we don't have enough money to travel' 1,2,6,7?

what else could have everybody's attention?

Everything but basketball. The NBA is team sport, marketed as an indiviual game. Everything is Bryan, James, Shaq, Iverson, McGrady, Nash, Kidd... People care about the big names, they want to see one guy get the ball and score 40 points during the game. They do not care about "the team" in many case. Now we have a finals with little exciting starpower between two teams who go out on the floor and play a good team game. Aside from Manu, the Spurs play a pretty boring game of basketball.

Way more people would watch if this was Miami against Houston...

Please dont Mush the Pistons by bringing them up. Shhhhhh...let them win quietly so I can cash in.

I like the Pistons, being from SE Michigan, but the NBA itself is total garbage. The worst pro sports league.

Good. The less I have to hear about people watching boring television at work, the better.

If these two teams were to play competitive games, it would be a fantastic series for people who actually know and enjoy watching defensive ball. However, thus far, only 1 team has shown up to any of the games, and they've all been relative blowouts. I don't have a vested interest, but prefer the Spurs ... but whoever wins Game 5 will take it. Should be a good one to watch IF both teams show.

Sports threads die here. Check the US Open thread... it's gasping for air... this is the frickin' US Open, not the Greater Dubai Open. Sports just doesn't fly here I guess.

No. The series is tied 2-2. Game 5 is Sunday in Detroit - I know you'll tune in. :p
