Has anyone actually used one of these? saw the box at Circuit City and knew better then to ask anyone who works there. The box has a big sticker on it that claims it can write 9 gigs to a disc. 9.4 over 8.4 would be cool. I know Mad Dog just rebags another drive, but I can't find another drive that has this 9 gig claim.

*update*
never mind, read on mad dogs site it's 9.4 gigs with dvd-ram oh well

It's unlikely that a cheap, Mad Dog re-package job is going to have any special features. 9.4 is just 2 x 4.7 for dual layer - nothing special.

mad dog products suck

edit: oh yeah, becuz they never returned my rebate and secondly their soundcard kept crashing on me when I first started using it, I think I just threw it away at the time, I could not bare someone going through the same problems, it was only 15 bucks from Offmax, something I didn't want to lose sleep over...

first, mad dog products suck. second, the 9.4 gig is most likely DVD-Ram which does allow 9.4 gigs.
