Macromedia Flash 9

Did the latest Macromedia Flash(9 I think it said) break everything for you? Any site using flash no longer says I have it after the latest Flash update. What gives?

I am going through uninstalling and reinstalling flash right now. So far, no good. Going directly to the website to download it says successfully installed, but it still doesn't work.
 
Flash 9 broke for me on certain sites. When I try to run a video on footytube.com for example, the video will never play, the progress indicator just spins forever. So now I use firefox for these sites because it still works.
 
Yeah, toyota.com and a couple other sites stopped working for me as well.

After thinking on it for a little bit, I searched for an uninstaller for flash. After runing that, and then installing Flash again from macromedia, things are working again. For some reason the update route for Flash doesn't work exactly right. Some sites work, and some don't after the update.

All is good now.

BTW, this is on IE7, Windows XP SP2.
