Hello,

Someone at my workplace would like to find a glove with which you can set up macros (like configure ALT-F + S on the thumb). I searched for data gloves and the results I get are from vrealities.com and those are not what she's looking for. She's also not looking for the gaming pad from Saitek (Cyborg Unit Controller or something).

If anyone know what she's talking about, please inform me. Her wrist is quite hurting her ad this gadget would help her greatly.

Thank you!

P.S.: I know I'm quite vague, but that's the best I can do with the information I received.

Never heard of such technology - but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist or is not in development.

Gloves

As for the painful wrist, I had the same problem years ago. Basically caused by over use of a mouse and also a poorly angled keyboard.

I solved the mouse pain problem with a small Wacom digitizing pad and a stylus I hold like a pencil. Definitely more comfy, and also more accurate when youing graphics work.

Keyboards are often tilted towards the user - sort of like the old typewriter. This is actually bad. It causes the wrist to be bent like so . . .\/. Any good piano player will tell you that the angle of attack should be with the wrist straight and the fingers downward. Like so, ---\.

So, I put an elevation block in the front of the keyboard so it tilts away from me instead of towards me. A nice wrist pad higher than the keyboard helps as well.

Just a couple of thoughts. Haven't had any wrist pains now for over 6 years.
