Quick question for you guys who have used this software before. I got my son a 1tb ssd for Christmas. Right now he is using a 1.5tb hdd and only 650gb of data on it.
Can I use this free version to clone his current hdd over to his new ssd?

Thanks! I will let him know that I found a solution and this weekend we will start the cloning over to his new ssd.

Ping me back if you get stuck, I use Macrium pretty much every day for a variety of stuff.

Can someone help me? I've been using Macrium 7 for almost a year now, saving the backup files on my NAS. I never made the PE disk though, (Stupid me). So one day I had a power outage while I was out, so my pc died, and wouldn't boot when I got home.

No problem I thought, I'll just download the free version, and make a PE disk. I did just that, but was shocked to learn that I couldn't see my NAS, so I couldn't see my backup files. What am I missing? I've checked to see that the PE usb drive had a driver for a IBM Ethernet port, so I'm stuck.

Worked well for me. I like that you can fire up a backup in Hyper-V (provided you have Windows 10 Pro).

Yup. @Muadib - do you have any SMB shares setup on the NAS? I've done it on stuff like Synologies where I have an SMB share with the image in it & just type in the IP & then username/password from the PE console, no problems.

Yeah, I hope they add VMware & Citrix support in the future, although I'd imagine Hyper-V is vastly easier due to the built-in architecture in Windows. Speaking of that, I'm actually doing some P2V conversions using that trick right now for some old physical servers, whee!
