The machine will power on, fans spin, but nothing else. I've tried two moterboards, three processors, and three power supplies. Could this happen because the machine isn't supplied enough power?

Damn, you've tried three different machines. Since the only thing left in common is the case, sure you're not shorting out?

I tried both without a case, I don't have a case for one.
 
So it doesn't post? Even with only a stick of ram, cpu and video card? Have you check any jumpers on the mobo to make sure the settings are correct?
