Machine or software to make ID cards

I need some help. I need to buy a machine or software that allows me to make id cards.

The id cards need to have a picture and other information like a bar code.
If any 1 knows of a machine or software please state wher ei can find information on it.

Note presently we just print out the information on a type of cardboard and then we laminate it or put it in a id sleeve
 
The bigger question is, what is your budget. Complete turnkey systems are $$$. You might be better off contracting to have it done.

Sam's Club used to sell a badge-making setup but I think they were for laminated badges like they used to use for the store Id cards. I think they are making theirs like credit cards now in a central location and mail them to you - don't make 'em in the stores any more. Most states have done the same with driver's licenses. If the laminated type won't do you then better to contract out unless you plan to make tens of thousands yearly - then the investment might be worth it.
