machine check exception

I have been having major issues with my computer. I have been getting machine check exceptions randomly, especially when on the internet. However, the temps are all very good (cpu - 95 F, mobo - 100 F, case 90 F, 125 F video). Also, the computer does not boot into windows well, often giving me a blue screen (stop error) for less than a second, then rebooting. It has gotten to the point several times where it would not boot into windows at all (or even off the rescue cd), and a reformat/reinstall was required. The hdd has already been replaced, so could it be a mobo or cpu issue? Or maybe an incompatibility issue?

Here are my specs:
athlon 64 3500+
MSI K8N NEO4-F
160 gb hitachi sata
nvidia 6600 gt
sony dvd
lg dvd-rw

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - tech support has no clue what they're doin - already sent it back, had the same issue a week later.

First off, have you overclocked anything in your computer yet? Overclocking is what shows this the most if you dont know what you're doing.

Haven't overclocked at all. Besides, all the temps are very low. Could the issue be compatability with sata/6600gt/nforce 4 mobo?

I doubt that, first off what kind of power supply you got? Having a crappy power supply could be a causer of this (when I eman crappy im referring to who makes your PSU, wattage isnt that big of player if you got a psu made by a crappy company) Also, having some wrong voltage set for ram or CPU can cause this too, perhaps too much or not enough. Respond with your PSU Brand name and wattage, as well as your CPU and DDR Ref. voltages located in your BIOS, and we can go from there.

I have a 'Turbolink' 420W psu, so probably not exactly top of the line. The memory voltage was set to 2.7V, mem specs say 2.55-2.85V. CPU voltage was automatically defined by the mobo ("by VID"), so i reset it to 2.5 V, the spec for the cpu. I have not noticed any more issues since I reset the cpu voltage, but its too early to tell.

Souds good, and I think you mean 1.5 for the CPu Voltage, theres no CPU out yet that takes more than about 1.9 volts.

1.5, 2.5 same thing. Yer right, its 1.5. But still havin probs. I think maybe its the nforce4 chipset. I got a message saying, 'The instruction at "0x016359a2" referenced memory at 0x016359a2." The memory could not be written' a couple times when closing My Computer screens. This is in addition to the random stop errors when loading Windows, and the random machine check exceptions when in windows.
