My wife uses macs with 100 meg zip drives at college. She wanted to be able to bring her work home, so I purchased a zip250 usb for use with our home PC running Win98se (OM clearance for cheap). I installed the version 4.0.4 of macdrive 2000 available at iomegas website.

The zip drive reads IBM formatted 100meg and 250 meg disks with no problem.

When I put the mac 100 meg disk in, macdrive gives the drive icon a little apple next to it, so I know it thinks its a mac disk. However it will not read the disk.

I very much hesistate to purchase the latest macdrive 2000 version 5 if it will not work with this setup, so I'm kind of stuck.

The mediafour website support area is basically down I think. I've tried sending one of those "help" emails. Anyway I was wondering if anyone might know if this will work - will a zip250-usb on a PC running macdrive 2000 under Win98se read and even write mac formatted zip100 disks?

Thanks.

I also go back in forth between a mac and a pc for school work I have not tried macdrive 2000 so I can't help with that butwhat I have found works best is to use pc formatted disks since macs have no problem reading and writing to a pc format this is the best route I have found.
