MacBookPro with Windows battery problem

I have the latest MacbookPro 15 minches, 2500 i7, bought it brand new a week ago, I've installed Windows 8 (don't ask, I need it for work). The problem is my battery literally dies after less than 2h of use. Is it broken, or is it normal? Apple says it should last 8h.

8hr is for use in OS X, not Windows. Historically, Macs get about 50% of their rated battery life when in Windows. You'll want to fiddle with the power settings in the Windows Control Panel to get more battery life, but if you're expecting 8 hours... you're not going to get it.

Heck, if you were using OS X for work, you wouldn't get 8 hours either, but it would probably be better than 2.

Does it have a discrete GPU? From what I understand, OS X alternates between the CPU's Iris Pro graphics and the discrete GPU as needed, but Windows will only ever use the latter, which can really hurt battery life.

2 hours of web browsing or what?

Adjust the power settings. Throttle the CPU. Windows 8 should be fairly mobile-friendly with the right configuration.
