MacBook + Ubuntu Help!!

Well i just got ubuntu installed on a macbook. How do i get the wireless to work? this is my first mac so i have no idea. I do not have any cd's for the macbook just the macbook with ubuntu on it. any ideas?

1GB DDR2
80GB HDD
BlueTooth

Those use crappy Broadcom cards don't they? If so you might need to get the firmware for it so that the driver can find it and initialize the card.

b43-fwcutter sounds about right for the broadcom stuff, iirc.

do a lspci first, see what chip it mentions, make sure it's broadcom 43nn.

Lol i thought apples had hardware handed down from the gods.

Depending on who you ask... But in reality they're just normal PC hardware with an Apple logo on it...

Is Atheros made by Broadcom? To the best of my knowledge the MacBooks use Atheros. Though it would be useful it the OP let us know the specs on the MacBook, since that would help possibly narrow down the specific card if Apple switched between vendors when they did a refresh.
