I use Bootcamp for XP on my MBP. How did you guys install new drivers on your MBP? Did you uninstall them, go into safemode, and run drivercleaner, and then install? I tried that once and I had to restore because I had a critical hardware error. Do you guys just install without having to use driver cleaner or restart into safemode? Is it recommended to install new gfx drivers without having to uninstall your old ones?

it is strongly recommended to uninstall the previous graphics driver before installing a new one for optimal performance. i never used driver cleaner, never needed to and havent had any real problems with just uninstalling. perhaps try installing the new driver without using driver cleaner, just uninstall. it might work. never had a mac or used bootcamp so i couldnt really help you out with that part sorry.

When a new driver comes out for video (or anything else), here's what I do:

1. Download it.
2. Double click on the exe that's downloaded.
3. Reboot when prompted.

That's it. That's all I'd suggest you do too - and I'd suggest you use Apple's Software Update in Boot Camp 2.0 to ensure you're up to date on the Bootcamp drivers too.... although I understand that regular nVidia drivers work too for many of the Bootcamp Macs.
