Macbook ejects CDs by itself...

I just purchased a used Macbook without a hard drive so I went out not too long ago and picked one up. I'm trying to install OS X and for some reason the disk keeps on getting ejected. When I turn on the Macbook, all I see is a gray screen. When I turn it on without the harddrive, I see a folder with a blinking question mark in the center. This was a harddrive from a PC based laptop so when the CD ejects, it automatically boots from the harddrive where I am welcomed with NTDFS is missing or something alone those lines.

Any help on how to install the OS?

And to make it clear, I am pushing the C button and the gray screen does not show the Apple logo.

And another thing is that I tried pushing CTRL without the CD in the computer and it goes to the screen that shows the harddrive. I'm guessing that something is messed up with my cd drive...

That is distinctly possible. Is there anyone else with a Mac that you know? You can get a firewire cable, and put your mac into target disk mode. You then put the recovery disk into the other mac and install OS X onto your targetted mac.
