So because you have a problem, I must have a problem too?

I'm guessing that's just a cookie, which is hardly an issue, however I disallow all cookies except for select websites.

If you want, I could record a video of it running and post it somewhere. But there's a baseball game on right now and also I don't give a shit what you think. I proved to you that there is nothing on my system and it is perfectly clean, just as I said it would be.

Sure it is ;)

What your suggesting is so close to impossible, I'm not entertaining it any further.

It isn't impossible at all, I just proved it to you. My system is clean.

You can't just ignore proof and assume you're still right. Well I guess you can, but all it does is make you look like a huge tool.

You didn't prove anything you posted a screenshot. A screenshot of your computer? Maybe. A screenshot of a system after a clean? Maybe. A screenshot of a new computer? Maybe. Who knows.

I downloaded it, installed it, ran it and posted the screenshot.

I could easily make a video, but I don't care to. I don't need to. I've already proven that my system is clean.

Even in the screenshot you posted, I would consider that clean, assuming that is just a cookie. A cookie isn't software.

I'm sorry that you can't handle being proven completely and utterly wrong, but that isn't my problem.

As I said you haven't proven anything.

I'd suggest some more programs for you to run, but you'd probably come back with more "proof"

You're right, I would come back with more proof that my system is clean because it is.

Do you really want me to post a video of my computer booting up, loading everything up, going to the firefox and spybot website, downloading and running the spybot program and showing it is clean? I could go through all that trouble, but I think you look like enough of a fool at the moment.

All that would show me is that you've cleaned your system.

It's the same as if a devout christian posted a photo of god on this forum and said "look... there's god, see proof!" both are as likely as each other.

Whatever. I have not cleaned my system because there is nothing to clean.

Sorry, you're wrong.

Ok? A few years ago, Dell wanted $500 to replace a Go 7900 GS in my '06 E1705. I thought Dell was inexpensive. That Apple deal sounds like a bargain.

and if you goto a 3rd party that same logic board is ~$650 new.. on a computer that is ~3.5 years old

I ran Spybot on my system (win7) a few hours ago and it found nothing. I don't disallow cookies, I have zero antispyware, antivirus whatever, I've never cleaned it, it's about a 4 week old installation, but heavily used.

No, I didn't take a screenshot, sorry.

:hmm: perhaps I should be recommending different software.

Do you think the price of old, limited, out-of-production hardware goes down, or something? And the base model for a 2007 MBP was $2500.

so how exactly do you explain the price difference from apple's 1300 to the 3rd party's 650? apple's is newer? better? more refined? its the same part... apple just decides to price gouge the fuck out of it

Not disagreeing with you. But you think Apple is the only one charging more than 3rd party sellers? And those 3rd party guys are just sending you the board, not replacing it for you. Dell wanted $500 from me to replace a video card that I could've found for $250, and that was for a 2-yo notebook with a video card that was used in MANY other notebooks.

And how do you get your hands on propriety stuff anyway? Raid an Apple store or Foxconn facility and sell them online?

I haven't been following the Spybot posts, but I ran it for the lulz.

All cookies. If I had defensive cookie settings or cleared my cookies now and then, they probably wouldn't be there. Not sure who I'm supporting with this post?
