Mac users - a good dvd program with image capture?

A friend who just got a deal on a Mac e-mailed me asking for a good dvd program for Macs with image capture. Being a Mac ignoramus, I figured I'd ask here first...any ideas, doesn't have to be freeware....thanks...!
