Hey guys, are you all sporting anything in terms of a security suite these days? I've been getting some weird pop ups in Safari lately (weird meaning graphic) so I double checked and realized the pop up setting was off. No idea when that happened but I do know the pop ups just started recently.

Really what it boils down to is that I'm nervous now. I've not really been nervous in iOS before but I'd like to lock it down if possible. I did download iAntivirus from the app store and it didn't find anything but I'm still paranoid. Is there any kind of active security suite I should be looking into?

Thanks.

there's a free version of Sophos you could try out, what could it hurt?

http://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools/sophos-antivirus-for-mac-home-edition.aspx

Sophos is decent, we run it on 400 endpoints in a corporate environment and haven't had a single problem infection in over two years (the last one was when we still ran Symantec). I'm pretty sure the virus Defs are the same to both products. Though obviously they wouldn't be exactly the same from Mac to windows, but if it works at all as well as it does on the windows platform I'd back Sophos.
