MAC RADEON 9800 XT 256MB VIDEO CARD won't sleep

I'm running a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5
with a RADEON 9800 XT 256MB VIDEO CARD
When my cpu goes into sleep mode my car's fan is still running. How can I make sure my card also goes into sleep mode. I think when I first installed it for a week or so it did go into sleep mode. I checked and don't see any app's open. When I installed it, it was extremely hard to get it's connections to slide in and I'm still not confident that there in as tight as they should be. I also haven't noticed and speed increase. Also where can I get the latest Driver?

1) That just may be something you have to put up with. Most graphics cards fans aren't software controlled other than going faster at higher temperatures.
