Mac Pro Case for a PC

I am thinking about building a Hackintosh, but I really want a case that looks like a mac pro tower. Does such a case exist?
 
Seems like a lot of work and it wasn't immediately clear how he did it. I guess if they mount upside down, it would also have to mount on the opposite side (compared to a PC) or the slots would face the wrong way.
 
Yeah I was looking at grabbing a mac pro case too, but the auctions I found on ebay had them for a whole lot of money.
 
Yeah, it would be a DIY for sure. But I am afraid to spend the money on a Mac Pro case on ebay without knowing anything beyond the fact that it can be done. Besides, the wife might not love a massive metal working project in the apartment 🙂

Ouch. I was going to suggest making you're own "Mac Pro" case but then read the metal working bit 😛

 
Not bad looking actually. And I was about to pull the trigger on a $190 Coolermaster...

Not a fan of the air duct and the fact that the floppy drive bay is there whether I have a drive or not...but for the money...
 
Further more, the reviews make it sound terrible, but with that price, i'd expect that I guess. I want something quiet, so maybe I should spend money on a decent case.
 
Yeah, no worries, it was really a joke suggestion, as that looks like truly an abysmal case. The MacPro knock-off look is about the only 'nice' feature. $32 and a 500W powersupply? That, plus the terrible reviews probably says it all. It could actually probably be nicely modded, however- and definitely replace the component-burner PSU. The only 'burner' a system needs is the optical drive.

You don't actually need to spend an insane fortune to get a decent PC case, but if you want really high quality and nice details, look into Lian Li- they make simply beautiful stuff. I wouldn't at all be surprised if they were the actual maker of the MacPro case.
 
It seems like really nice ones start around $100-$120. I am willing to put out some cash for a nice case. I want something with the weight to it because I want it quiet and something light is gonna vibrate like crazy.
 
For me, the best case is never seen. I just stash them in a closet. All I want to look at are my monitors and wireless keyboard.

Yeah I agree but since I use the dvd-rw drive quite a bit I can't have it completely out of view.
 
I think a nice looking case really makes the computer look "cool". Maybe I am vain.

Also, a good case keeps noise down and components cool.
