Mac OS X/Win XP printer sharing

I've set up a printer for sharing on my Windows XP machine, and have located that printer on my Mac. When I print a file, nothing happens. The Windows print monitor recognizes that a file from a networked computer is queued to print, but never actually prints the document. Any ideas?

I assume this is a problem with the OS handling of sharing, not a network problem, as both computers appear to be able see each other.
 
If you're sharing over SMB, then you may need to use the Gimp HP LaserJet 6 series driver.

Although that doesn't sound to be the problem.
