Wondering if anybody has constructive feedback on these two issues I've ran into recently.
1. Font-smoothing on a new 17" LCD (1280x1024) looks pretty ragged. DVI connection to a Mac mini. Haven't tried VGA, but why would I? Granted, Windows XP ClearType does not look awesome either, but Mac OS X is clearly worse (regardless of font-smoothing settings). Although usable, for the time being I've relegated the LCD to Windows PC use only.
2. Is the SMB client code (still) causing people grief? Connected to a Windows workgroup share earlier to dump a large number of files (from a connected DMP). A large majority of files ended up being 0 byte or 2KB, and the vast majority were corrupt. There are no firewalls on either machine (that I recall).
