Is the current mac mini cpu powerful enough for basically it needs to not be crippled by opening reading and writing documents, opening pdf files, printing and scanning, networked printing. Memory wont be an issue it will have 2gb. granted 64mb is for video.
 
Yes. The mac mini is at least as powerful as the current entry-level Windows laptop or pc. With 2GB of memory, it should be doing fine for a while.
