Mac mini keyboard

I'm wondering if a wireless (RF) Logitech KB/M will work with the Mac mini right away.

Or do I need to go out & buy a USB keyboard first? Sadly, I have plenty of USB mice, but only legacy PS/2 keyboards.
 
Plugged it in earlier; works great. However, apparently my CRT's BNC-5 input is poor. 🙁 Guess I need a new Dell FP monitor. 😉

But now I need Airport Extreme and I'm more or less forced to buy the service parts kit (or get a generic WiFi to Ethernet bridge).

A GB of memory wouldn't hurt either. 🙂
 
It will work, but if the Mini is running Tiger, you will get a keyboard setup wizard everytime you start the machine up or switch from another box if it is on a KVM, this was not a problem with Panther. the good news is that Logitech released new drivers on the 4th that fixed the issue though.

Get an iKeyboard, wouldn't want to save money by buying a non-Apple product, now would we?

Actually the Mac non-wireless keyboards are great, cuz they have built in USB ports. Instant USB hub, without the extra clutter.

As for the Logitech, the other issue with running without drivers is that the Option (Alt) and Command (Windows) keys are reversed with respect to the usual Mac setup. AFAIK, the drivers should give you the option of reversing those two keys. That's how it is with my Microsoft keyboard drivers in Mac OS X anyway.
 
The Logitech keyboard has the correct mapping. I'm just concerned about having to install LCC just to upgrade to Tiger.

No I mean the mapping is correct, but the keys are reversed. ie. On the left of the keyboard, the "correct" Mac orientation is to have the Command key to the right of the Option/Alt key. On Windows keyboards, the Windows key is on the left of the Alt key.

Mind you, if you're used to using it that way on Windows already, then you might like it that way. 🙂

And I know Gurck is trolling. 😉 I just thought I'd point out the bit about the keyboard. I'm getting a wireless keyboard and mouse for my iMac, but I may just use the wired keyboard for it because of the USB ports.

I don't know how, but the Cordless MX Duo keyboard supports both layouts properly without any additional software.
