As I recall, I remember watching something on the show that said all of the things he did were possible, but had key things missing or left out. Like making a eletric cutter from a car battery, theory is sound, but a battery cannot create enough load ot sustain any sort of cutting. Bomb out of chocolate, there is an explosive component in chocolate, but the quantity needed to make a boom would be drowned out by the gallons of chocolate around it... So, the principal is there, but actual application is impossible...
