Mac G5 case?

I'm not a regular poster, so this may have been asked before. Sorry if it was. Anyway's, does anyone know i may be able to find a case that's similar to the Mac G5 case? I really like the looks of them, but unfortunatly Apple's doesn't offer individual piece's of hardware. I guess they frown on the 'build-you-own' crowd. We have a G5 at work, and it has 9 fan's mounted internally. Their all run low speed though, so it keeps the noise down. Thanks for any help.

Another guy asked the same question a while back and no one had seen anything like it for Wintel parts. The Enermax 1018x series of cases can take an armload (well, at least 7) of low-speed quiet fans like the Panaflos and should run quite cool.

its too custom, 3 straight through temp zones.... its so way outa atx spec its not funny. and the fans are also o/s controlled.

I saw a G5 while I was in Japan over Christmas, and I was really dissapointed. It was much bigger than I pictured, and the holes on the front were so large that you could pretty much see right into the machine. I figured the front and back would be more like a screen.

Also, I forget where I saw this, but a guy on some board was making a G5 case in his shop class. It looked just like a G5 case, but it was made for an ATX motherboard. My guess is that the only way you would be able to use a G5 case for a PC is if you did the same and custom made the whole case.

keep your eye on ebay.. much as I hate it, if a dealer ends up with too many cases, they'll try to flog it on ebay. luckily for me the guy selling my G3 Mac case was in Toronto, so I just picked it up.

thats the whole point, it has to have big holes. the airflow literally goes in the front and is spit out the back..from top to bottom.
