I disagree.. the Mac ads don't focus on how they are better than PCs. The only consistent theme of the Mac commcercials is that cool people use Macs, and only lonely socially inept nerds who get excited about spreadsheets and C++ programming use PCs.

These "counter-ads" play right into the theme Apple established: PCs are for serious work, and Macs are for hip fun.
 

it's an ad campaign. let it go.
it doesn't affect you personally unless you define yourself by what type of operating system you use...

which would be sad.

the same goes for car who drive / jeans you wear / cell phone you use / etc.
they're just objects. they don't make you cool or unusual or special.
you're not a unique snowflake.

 
i hate those ads as much as anyone but those videos just weren't funny. the ones on truenuff were a bit better, but that isn't saying much.
 
They're funny but the "for a buck" one is stupid... Are they bashing Apple for selling music for $1? AFAIK, you can pirate music with a Mac too.
 
:laugh: they were decent. but they emphasize way too much on the mac does videos pc does spreadsheets. although the parody of that guy (which was finally fired) is funny.

Actually, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that in terms of hard core users, mac people are more social than PC people.
Mac users make music and movies and such, PC people play Second Life and WOW.
 
I thought the middle two were kind of dumb, but the others were funny.

Having both, I found the one with the hot chick to be really unrealistic. Maybe this is just personal experience, but when I'm on my P.C., I'm spending most of the time with stinky, ugly, hairy men in a small room yelling, "HEAD SHOT BABY!!! TAKE THAT BIZ-NATCH!!!" Just personally experience though.

I'm just tired of all the stupid mac bashing. Just because a lot of the users are stupid doesn't make the platform stupid.
