Is there an easy way to set up a Mac OS 9 client to see a network and it's shared resources remotely via dialup and LAN?

I basically want the Mac client to have access to a shared volume as if it's in the local area network.

Do you have a RAS that is capable of speaking Appletalk? If so, sure its possible to do so. I don't know if I'd to so far as to call it easy, but it is possible.

Yea I'm wondering if it's possible for the fileserver running Win2000 to run as a VPN server and provide the connections for remote access all in one basically. If so, can it be done with any ol router or does it have to be certified for VPN etc? I'm quite confused but very interested in doing this.
