Mac and Source Code

Does Mac provide the Source code of operating system as Linux does. Or just like Microsoft for Mac(just executable code)?

Darwin is fairly open source if that is what you are asking.

MAC OSX is open source... its just Apple's GUI layer is propeitary...

So while the source to MACOSX is fully open source.. you have to supply your own GUI.... still thats pretty damn cool.

Thats what I said

Apple is also helping support Open Source projects. I run XF86 4.2.0 on my iBook (on top of Quartz). dselect and other tools were also ported to Darwin.
