Hoping you guys could help me out here. I have a M7NCG 400 that I was upgrading from the intergrated graphics to a Geforce3Ti500. Here is what happened

Unplug everything installl vid card.
Plug everything in hit power, Get nothing.
Clear CMOS. Computer comes up chnge BIOS settings and restart.
Get nothing Monitor Sits and blinks.
Clear CMOS computer comes up. CHange BIOS and restart.
Get nothing monitor sits and blinks.
Pull out vid card and I see the same symptoms.
I would think maybe I fried something but if instead of changing BIOS and restarting I let it boot. WIndows comes up fine and everything works.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
w0ss

Did you change the BIOS setting for your Video Card Initial Boot. Sometimes the default setting is PCI, but you need to set it to AGP.

I did change that setting but the problem persisted. Now I have only the onboard vid card. I removed the geforce3 yet it still does the same thing. Plus since it's the GF's PC and not mine I get to listen to her whine all night 🙁

I feel for ya bro. For GF's (and any family or friends), it's as easy as Dell.

I use the M7NCG 400, but I'm using the onboard graphics. When I first installed it, it was quite a struggle getting it up and running, partially due to me playing with overclocking parameters. It's been fine for a while though, wish I had some good advice for you in this instance. Just keep on messing with things, just seems like a finicky board to me, hopefully there's nothing damaged on the board.
