Ordered one yesterday. Looking for suggestions on best bang for buck CPU and RAM. Comp geeks has XP2000+ for about 53. Ram has changed since I last built. I don't know much about DDR and dual channel. Any help would be appreciated
 
I ordered the 2500+ barton retail and 2 x 256meg Buffalo (windbond ch-5) from newegg.

$90 plus $90 plus $8 shipping = 198 plus $60 for the M7ncd pro from Ewiz = $258 - $15 biostar rebate =

$245 --- not to bad! Going to try to OC the barton to 3200+ (200fsb) when I get the time to put it

all together.
 
Anyone know which memory slots to use in order to get dual benefit? The are all blue...🙂 I assume one and two....🙂

Also, anyone know if an 80x80 hsf will fit with the cpu socket so close to the edge of the board, and hence to the ps? If not, up to what size? I don't want to use stock cause it spins too fast, and is quite noisy compared to an 80 mm.....Thanks.
