M6809 CD Drive problem

When I hit the open button, sometimes it just makes a "click click click" noise.

I have to press it 4 or 5 times before it finally opens, is this a problem, or does the cd inside have to stop spinning or something?

I'd wait till the CD stops spinning and see what happens. Let us know if you get it fixed. I'm planning on buying an m6809 within the next week or so 🙂

How much time do you wait before pressing the button repeatedly? You are correct in that the disc has to stop spinning. I estimate about 3 seconds for my 6805's CDRW.

Patience, my friend 😀
