i heard from industry sources that in 2010 the FN-SCAR will be issued to SOCOM to replace their M4's and that the FN-SCAR will be released to the rest of the armed forces.
as for the m16/m4....i would carry one but i'd keep a little bottle of lube with me on all times because the AR platform needs lube like no other.
