M1330 problem

I purchased my Dell 1330 last October and a few days ago, the dreaded gpu/ color problem finally pop it and I believe it is due to the faulty gpu that nvidia had. Since it is past 1 year already, what would be my recourse with dell? Is it possible to get dell to repair the notebook because of the defective gpu even it is slightly out of the 1 year period? I would like to hear as much info as possible to be used as ammo against dell customer representative.

Well, the link say that dell will deal with the problem according to the warranty, but the laptop is one month past warranty. I heard some people manage to get dell to fix the laptop for free even after warranty but some are not as lucky as dell say they must pay $200 to get it fix.

so the free 1 year extension is not a written policy but rather up to the individual customer representative? Do I need to escalate thwe problem to the superior?

I was never able to get Dell to fix my E1750 display problems when they started a few weeks after warranty expired.
