M$ Intellimouse RMA Phone #

how exactly did it die out of curiosity? it's not an intellimouse explorer is it? because i've heard a lot of stories of them dieing on people. i'm on my 2nd one right now.🙁

<< with so many intellimouse's dying.. one would have to wonder why people still buy them.. >>

6000dpi & free replacement

Coincidentaly I just called in MS for a replacement yesterday. They should be shipping it to me in 3-5 days.

6000dpi & free replacement

Its not 6000dpi-no mouse that I know of will do 6000dpi. It samples 6000 times a second. The latest MS optical mouse has a 400dpi/cpi rating.

<< yup, its an explorer. 🙁
Duno how it died, the "laser" doesn't come on anymore.
>>

The diode could have burnt out, it's possible that's all that's wrong with it. MS has a pretty good policy on replacement though so I wouldn't worry.

I had a problem with my MS explorer mouse too but I think it has more to do with my os(at least I hope that's the reason). What do they usually ask you for when you request an RMA #? The numbers on the bottom of my mouse have mostly worn off so I can't tell the serial number.
