Im more of a MS old school kinda guy, like DOS. Seriously, who doesnt like having their computer ask if it should ABORT,RETRY,FAIL?

and it's not that i hate them or anything, it's just funny that a company that big does this kind of thing.

1) They seriously think they are above the law
2) Even when they have extremely shady business practices, the US government says "it's ok, carry on"
(they were going to get divided in the anti-trust trial (they were convicted and waiting to get a sentense) but good old bush stopped the entire process , gotta love him huh?)
3) Do they care that they have been caught? doubtful.

If you search for the file they're talking about, wmpaud1.wav and open it in notepad, you can see the part they're talking about. Does it mean that's definitely a pirated version of Sound Forge?

It means no one is 100% sure. It's highly unlikely that MS condoned this - it seems more likely however that one of their employees/contractors used this software, however.
