Lupus project?

Is there a distributed computing project to help find a cure for the disease Lupus? I and some friends would be interesting in joining if there was one.

I don't recall reading about one, but it might be out there.

Folding@Home or Find-a-Drug would be great practice for you until it arrives. 😀

There is none as far as I know. Maybe it's too rare of a disease. But I wouldn't give up the hope about it. I personally would have never thought that the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease would become part of the Find-a-Drug project, but it did.

🙂

Find-a-Drug may have the most useful projects for you. The "Respiratory Diseases" targets are becoming more anti-inflammatory (for asthma), and might help lupus. The MS targets also seem to have to do with autoimmune diseases, but nothing's been done on them this year.

Bringing this old thread from the dead, any Lupus related DC projects? Or auto-immune in general if Lupus is too specific?

Just found this one, need to look into it a bit more when I have some time. Also need to figure out if cpu or gpu is better. Have 2 machines, a bit older, one Intel, one AMD, both quad cores that could be put to use. Or wonder if 1 new gen Intel is more efficient than the 2 older ones I have...research...

I have not found any specific Lupus project and not any specific project for auto-immune disorders. Those which come closest are Rosetta@home and POEM@home.

This is a team (a number of users) who have crunched for World Community Grid. However, no Lupus project ...
