Lunch meat

olive loaf is fucking disgusting D😀:

I love a good salami/provolone sandwich, but it's ridiculously unhealthy... I usually gravitate towards buffalo chicken or roast beef.

Bologna + cheese + mustard + miracle whip

I've been eating the same sandwiches for lunch since April.

Simple preparation + filling + great taste = win

Good quality German bologna

Get it cut at least 1/2 inch thick
Fry it on a nice hot griddle or cast iron pan on the stove top
Serve on a fresh hard roll with onions sauteed in butter

BOLOGNA BURGER !!!

(Cheese optional, but recommended)

boar's head cajun fried turkey = win

I think Boar's head is the Dillons higher grade name brand while Dilusso is the Hyvee higher grade. Either way, I agree with your post that the cajun and peppered turkey is great. Unfortunately, my wife likes the maple or sweeter turkey so we get that instead. Still a great quality product, even if it is marked to go bad 3 days after we purchase it.

Gotta check out that cajun fried turkey.

Made an "antipasto roll" of pepperoni, genoa, provolone and capicolla the other day.

Bologna...made from lips and assholes.

Oh wait, that's hot dogs. 😛

None, I don't buy it. When I'm out I'll occasionally get an Italian sub, and that's pretty good, but I'm not sure which is the standout meat.

Give me some generic sliced cooked ham, a kraft single and some miracle whip on a wheat and i'm a happy camper.

I'm 30 going on 10, what can i say.

Same thing.
(I have actually worked in 2 major processing plants. Just scrap meat & fats go into the "Process" hopper for bologna, hot dogs, etc., not really any lips & assholes, those, and other disgusting parts, are worth more as pet food ingredients.)

How do you keep lunch meat from going bad? I buy a pound for a week and that about how long it lasts. Is that normal?

Sometimes it's bad in the store; that's why I don't buy it. It's full of questionable parts as is, and handling it multiple times per day, and exposing it to air and bacteria due it in fast. I'm no germophobe, but I'm very particular about my food. When I was young, I got bad lunch meat a few times. I didn't get sick from it, but that's usually because I tossed it after seeing it's disgusting texture or color. I just don't need it. There's plenty of good food to eat without eating that crap too often. Shit's bad for you, even in the best condition.
