Well damn, I'm stuck on Verizon so I guess I'm hoping the HTC or Samsung offerings turn out well. Still, I doubt the blame should be placed entirely on Nokia/MS. It's not like Verizon has shown any support for WP thus far and Sprint can't afford to do anything but shill iPhones these days.

Didn't VZW talk shit about Windows Phone when it first came out? And not having the 920 doesn't mean VZW won't have a W8P device, just not this specific one. The only benefit the 920 has over anything else is the camera and apps. Oh wait, those are actually pretty significant!

Camera i definitely see, but apps?

Well that is lame as hell and very disappointing. I've read some other rumors that Verizon will get a slighly different model but essentially the same thing. Like a Lumia 922.

Didn't they say that nokia maps was going to be the default maps for WP8? I wonder if nokia drive and transit will be better integrated with the maps app in WP8, on WP7.5 you have to switch between apps which is kind of annoying. They have a couple other cool apps as well such as city lens and nokia music.

0/2 on phones I was hoping to see on Verizon soon. First the LG Optimus G and now the 920. That GS3 is starting to look pretty good about now. Either that or seeing what ATT reception is like in the area.

Verizon has a pitiful selection of phones. They have for years. If you want to get all of the "popular" phones, you're pretty much going to have to go with AT&T.

They have the iPhone 4&5, Nexus, S3, Moto Droid RAZR, Droid 1,2,3&4, various HTC models, all the Blackberries and so on. There may be an exclusive here or there, but they have a lot of "popular" phones. Yes a couple years ago it was bad, but that's no longer the case.

All my family got iPhone 5 but I wanted a 920, we are on Verizon 🙁

Guess all I have now is to hope Verizon gets a 922 or something, I really wanted a Nokia WP8 on Verizon........

I figure that if you're trying to make a comeback you'd also want your phone on the #1 carrier in the USA as well. The more ways they give people of getting their phones, the more it'll sell. Hopefully they release of verizon version as well soon.

Exclusively AT&T, for now. But I bet there will be unlocked versions. I just dont know if they will work on Verizons 4g. I also dont know if verizon allows you to swap SIM's.

AFAIK, the only Lumia WP8 on Verizon that has been confirmed is the 820 (822). The more economical model, if that makes a difference for those wanting a Nokia device for Big Red.

Here is a handy spec chart of all WP8 devices coming soon...

Won't work because a) Verizon still uses CDMA for voice and b) phones don't have Verizon 4G bands unless they were specifically built to support that network.

It's still bad because practically no one cares about the Droid 1, 2, 3, 4. Motorola phones barely sell worldwide, and it's Verizon keeping them alive. Various HTC models like the HTC One X? Nope. HTC One S? Nope. HTC One X+? Nope. HTC Sensation? Nope. The Rezound came in Nov 2011. Too late. They skipped the Galaxy S2 and see what happened? They luckily took in the S3.

Yeah they got the Galaxy Nexus. Woohoo. A first.

Point is you always have to wait for Verizon exclusives. Almost all phones now are quad band 3G you can pop them in AT&T. 4G may be an issue but hopefully band compatibility issues will be more mitigated than with 2G/3G phones.

Lumia 920 is an exclusive to At&t because that is their marketing strategy. Nokia only wanted one carrier per country to sell it. Seeing there is plenty of buzz surrounding the phone, it is easy to second-guess that strategy.

For Verizon, they most likely will have at least the Lumia 820 and HTC 8X. At&t will probably have the 920, 8X, and ATIV S. No word on what T-Mobile will have. Maybe the 8S, but this is just a guess.

T-Mobile will have the 8X and likely the Ativ S and Lumia 820 as well.
