I'm surprised no one has mentioned LulzSec by now, I have been following these duses escapades for some days not and LulzSec are the ones that took down Sony, including the PSN online gaming servers, they outed many people including government and military officials on porn sites (http://lulzsecurity.com/releases/pronz.txt) they have put up phone lines to take calls from the public/media, they also have taken on the FBI, the US senate and are taking on all comers, today they have taken on online PC game sites and 4chan is the latest, too much to really mention on this thread.

Why do you ask? For the lulz of course.

Either that, or organizations can take it as wakeup call to secure their shit. One response makes you feel good, while the other response means work, but fixing the problem....

Either way, these morons are just causing problems, if they find security holes in companies systems they should notify them, not try and cripple them, or "out military service personnel who view porn"

The lul people sound like childish idiots.

lulz: there is too much government on the internet!! So we must attack government where ever we can find it!!

Government: these people are out of control. We need to increase government control in order to stop all the damage they are doing.

So they are ruining things and pissing people off for fun? Morons / Trolls.

Morons? Hardly. Trolls? That's one way to put it. I'm deriving much enjoyment from their antics though, so they have at least one fan....

What do you expect?

They come across as a bunch of high school and college students who have never had to work for anything in their life and feel entitled to anything they please.

I imagine the thousands of people who couldn't us PSN for a while aren't fans. So they have one fan in you and thousands of haters. they are morons who need to just stay out of other people's business' their fun shouldn't be at the expense of everyone else's fun. They are bordering on terrorists.

Nyancat and Tupac Shakur alive again on major websites is worthy of a chuckle from me. Lighten up. Each site they've targeted were all in response to what those sites were doing to certain individuals in the first place.

Whether they were right or wrong (both lulzsec and said corprations/sites) is a gray area to me, it's not so black and white immoral.

Yet what they do affects people who are not involved in the businesses practices, such as people who use PSN for example, or the military service people.

If companies and organizations are stupid enough to leave the glaring security holes that Lulzsec has (for the most part) exploited, they deserve the shit-storm that comes their way. Sony is a special case because they drew the ire of hackers / modders worldwide for their treatment of the guy who cracked the PS3.

WooHoo! The terrorism card! That's where the government's going with all this. Anything that interferes with capitalism is terrorism. Copy a CD, you're a terrorist, Torrent a game; yup, terrorist too. There's more important issues in the world than PSN users accessing their gaming accounts.....

I understand the reason, and I understand the company maybe need problems but the gamers have done nothing. They forget who they are effecting.
