This is a good deal. However, I bought an S200 from Staples B&M yesterday for $192+tax by PMing to Executive Cameras and applying a $30 off $150 printable coupon. You can pick up 128MB CFs for about $40 online. Still, a hassle-free $249.98 is appealing.

You probably save about a bit more than $10 through your method. You should've posted it. :D Share, tis a community. :p

Hehe, leftover Christmas money here, and selling textbooks back. :D

And yes, Staples does online pricematching, but when applying coupons on top of a pricematch is always YMMV.

Actually I did post it, although not here. It takes me a while to move between FW and AT but I usually try to post to both... which is why I mentioned it here.

:)

and i *had* an s200, gave it to my friend (whom i owed money) and just picked up the s230. if you can spend the extra 80-90bux go for it! Noticeable improvements:
-extra 1.2mp
-up to 3min of vid w/sound
-9aif points
-access 'night shot' exposure through single button instead of menu
-i also think it has better AWB (auto-white balance)
-added 'photo effects' sepia, b&w, yadda-yadda
-increased digital zoom to 6.4 (i disabled it, b/c i figured it is basically the same as using photoshop and zoom on an already existing picture)

overall it's a great point-and-shoot camera

What's the diff between a S200 and an S330?? I know the S230 is 3 megapixel but the S330 seems to be a 2 megapixel (the 3 in S330 denotes the 3x optical zoom I believe.) Is the different zoom significant for the sharp price difference between the S200 and S330 or is there another difference I'm not aware of?

The S330 has a mic, so you can do voice recording and audio playback w/ the camera itself (S200 can do recording but not audio playback from the camera) and it has a 3x zoom instead of 2x zoom. (not enough features IMO to warrant price difference). It also is a tad bit bigger.

Yeah, I woudl really like the Canon S230 but I'm no professional and jsut want a simpler camera to take around. That and I don't have an extra $100.

You might want to try the Fujifilm A203 .. for around $190 .. great camera for the price .. and very small to...

I dont know much about this,....but is it possible to pricematch the "Executive Cameras" price online? Then use an online coupon code, $50 off $200 ??? If so, how?

Or do all pricematches have to be in store?

A lot of people have been complaining of out of focus or "soft" images taken with the s200....

Haveing owned the S100, S110, and now the s200 I would have to say I am the least impressed with the s200 as far as image quality goes. In auto mode I almost never got a bad picture with my older S models, but with the s200 I am more often than not deleting sub-par photos.

Anyone else experience this?
