I just received my two sticks I ordered. I can't believe how fast they can run. I was using crucial 2100 before, then Mushkin special 2100. I could get 140 cl2 with the crucial and 145 cl2 with the mushkin but other timings were not maxed, and I couldn't use two of either sticks together at those speeds. Since I couldn't use both sticks together without becoming unstable, I purchased one 512 2100 frm crucial. It sucked. Wasn't 100% stable at any speed I tried. It's probably a bad stick, and I am RMA'ing it. With the newest 2 sticks of crucial I got in, Bamm 150 cl2 maxed timings and I can use both sticks together. I wasn't planning on them being this fast. I was content using the 2 sticks of Mushkin knocked back to a stable 140 cl2.

I'm wondering if these sticks of memory could have been manufactured as pc2700, but they weren't comfortable with the batch that came out of a certain run so they are selling them as pc2100 so they won't have to worry with a bunch of returns. Anyone know crucials memory well enough to tell from the numbers on the chips themselves?
