He has to dominate the streets. Bring in the national guard, they will cut through them like butter, it’s beautiful.

I saw earlier video of Lukashenko and his son taking a chopper back to the Presidential palace—all decked out in combat gear and carrying guns.

He‘ll try machine gunning the crowd before he flees.
There's a significant chance he'll at least try - spurred on by Vladdy Putler no doubt, because if the Russian population sees that Lukashenko got evicted by a popular uprising, Putler will no longer be as secure as he once was.

If the army is actually willing to fire on their own people is another matter of course.

This is damn interesting. I did not think Luka could get this shaken, he's been in power for so long now, but I suppose the Belarusians have had enough of his psychopathy by now.

I suspect you are correct. I've watched the fall of the U.S.S.R as it destoryed it self from within, and we are next.
History repeats itself once as a tragedy, second time as a farce. U.S.S.R. fell apart because people wanted to self govern. U.S.A. is falling apart because the people have become too dumb to do so.

Don't worry about little green men. Putin has them wearing black this time.

Poor Belarus, Russia isn't going to let things get democratic right next door. They're going to have to really push to get rid of Lukashenko, more people will die.

The CIS fell apart because the oligarchy ensured that the reins of democracy would be handed to the single most incompetent President unqualified for the job—Boris Yeltsin. While he stumbled around in a vodka-induced stupor, ex-KGB and military officers pooled resources and bought up all the shares in newly “public” enterprises, then quickly formed dominant conglomerates in steel, oil, aluminum etc.

If Trump is our Boris Yeltsin, meant to precipitate the fall, then Tom Cotton is our Putin—meant to keep a firm grip on power for the few.

I thought the “consensus” was that the capitalistic nature was able to outspend the soviet union into bankruptcy in the cold war stand off. It was the success of capitalism in that particular moment in history. Now I see the psyops mafia state edging out on top of that... so far at least.

This might be America in a few months if Trump and GOP SCOTUS steal the election with their vote suppression and USPS shens.
Yup, it's true. "The only thing standing between the American dream and anarchy, madness and chaos is" ...
a Biden/Harris VICTORY!
